Annie has never really picked up the love some have for reading. She learned the way most do. Growing up there was always a bedtime story for her and she soon became curious and wanted to learn how to read herself. Preschool and kindergarten came around and she was taught how and loved it up until about 7th grade. For her reading was enjoyable and easy when she could do it on her own as a hobby. Most people read as an enjoyable hobby, to find out information, or because they're forced to for a class. Reading is easy for Annie when it's something that interests her. It's difficult for her when she can't comprehend what it is she's reading. Being a good reader comes with lots of practice reading books that are beyond your reading level, so you're pushed to go beyond what you're capable of already doing. Annie tends to choose books that include reality and humor. She chooses books that family, friends or social media say are good. Annie rarely ever reads at home unless its for homework. In general Annie is a good reader she just doesn't find it to be a fun thing to do.
Annie isn't too fond of writing either. She learned how to at a young age by tracing letters many times and writing her name over and over again. Writing was always a simple task for Annie. However, she just didn't like to do it. She thinks that those who do enjoy writing do it to put onto paper what is on their mind, let go of stress, and just for fun. Writing and reading go hand in hand. In order to write well you must be able to read and vise versa. Annie's favorite kind of writing is poetry. If she had to write anything it would be poetry in a heart beat. When she's trying to think of something to write about she often refers back to her life and what she has experienced. For Annie as a writer she likes to receive positive responses, but also like to know what it is she's done wrong and ideas for what to do differently next time. Just like reading Annie rarely ever writes at home in a journal or anything for that matter. In general writing comes easy to Annie, she just doesn't use that as a stress reliever or something to do when she's bored.
